About Allison Kelly |
Allison has a desire to share her enthusiasm for life with her students, our clients, and her family. She has been trained by DONA International as a birth doula and as a postpartum doula. She has been apprenticing with Molly since early 2022.
Allison says, "When thinking about the honor of attending a birth, I feel a warm and cozy sensation. I have always had a connection to babies and young children. My mom recounts stories of me rushing to change my cousin’s diapers at a young age, I started babysitting around age 14 for the two young children down the street, and when my best friend had a baby- I was there as soon as possible and immediately took over holding him. I have also deeply felt a resonance to the birth and postpartum process of the birth person."
Allison works as a high school teacher in the Greece Central Schools. She has had to navigate the health system for her own issues and for the births of her two children. She has also had deep personal experience navigating going back to work in the postpartum period and is putting together postpartum doula services specific to parents returning to work.
