About Abdominal Therapy for Professionals Part 1 This experiential, professional-level class focuses on the anterior portion of Abdominal Therapy as presented by the Abdominal Therapy Collective, Inc. (ATC), and works holistically with body, mind, and spirit. This training is open to all professional therapists who hold a qualification in anatomy and physiology and are able to perform massage on clients within the legal requirements of their state or country. This four day experience will enable you to share the anterior element of the work created by Dr. Rosita Arvigo. The class will be taught via practical demonstration, a sharing of treatments with other students, and an in-depth exploration of anatomy and physiology as it relates to our work. After completing this class you will be fully qualified to work with clients and to teach individuals the Abdominal Therapy Collective’s unique ‘Your Abdominal Massage’ (YAM) for their continuing health improvement. Molly Deutschbein is a founding educator of the Abdominal Therapy Collective, Inc, an international cooperative of Abdominal Therapists.
Molly is an Abdominal Therapy practitioner and educator with advanced pregnancy training. She has a private practice as a massage therapist, doula and movement teacher in Rochester with a client base of all genders, ages and stages, specializing in the childbearing year and newborn feeding challenges. Her primary modalities are craniosacral therapy and Abdominal Therapy. Molly has been running health workshops for adults for more than 30 years. She is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider and is also sponsored by NCBTMB to teach New York LMTs continuing education that is accepted by the state of New York for license renewal. Dr. Rosita Arvigo is one of the founders of the Abdominal Therapy Collective. Dr. Arvigo is a doctor of naprapathy, and has extensive knowledge of herbology and spiritual healing. She has dedicated her life to sharing the knowledge that she received over her years of studying with various traditional healers of Belize, her private practice and her travels around the world teaching bodywork, herbs and spiritual healing. The most notable of these was her mentor Don Elijio Panti, the renowned Maya Shaman of Belize. She developed these techniques and used them to create a holistic approach to healthcare. The Abdominal Therapy Collective was created by 18 Abdominal Therapists, including Dr. Rosita Arvigo, in 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. We wanted to create a new model of a healing collective with equity principles at its core. We hope to bring the principles of abdominal healing to as many bellies as we can in as many communities as we can.
